Pankaj Batra is the writer-director of Virsa. A young and upcoming writer-director with a promising future, he started his career by assisting Vidhu Vinod Chopra on Mission Kashmir and followed it by assisting Kalpana Lajmi on Kyon.

As a writer, he has written the script for Dil Humko Dijiye, starring Raj Babbar, Gracy Singh and Aarya Babbar. He has also directed some music videos. He has directed various TV serials like Remix on Star One, Chaldi Da Naam Gaadi on Zee TV and Hum Tum on Zee Next. Most recently, he wrote and directed a Punjabi feature film, Reejhan, starring Ranjeet, Aryan Vaid and Bunty Grewal.

Virsa is Pankaj’s second film as a director.
