Mehreen Raheal is a supermodel from Pakistan. Having endorsed numerous products from Lipton to Head and Shoulders and Pantene to Coke and Pepsi, Ponds and ICI paints, she is one of the best known faces in Pakistan. With a talented actress, Simi Raheal (seen in India in the Pakistani film Khuda ke Liye) for her mother, acting has been a passion for Mehreen. Starting out at the tender age of 14, she has anchored shows on TV, done music videos and also worked in serials. She has a diploma in scriptwriting, dance and drama from London. She is a columnist and writer too.
With Virsa, Mehreen makes an entry into films. It is also her introduction to the Indian audences, who are absolutely unfamiliar with her and her body of work. She chose this film because she could identify with the character of Mahi and with the message of the film. She is looking forward to portraying more such strong characters in other Bollywood projects in the near future.
Young, beautiful, sexy, intelligent and confident, Mahi, a young lady from Chandigarh, is a combination of beauty and brains. She is a modern Indian woman who is contemporary in her outlook and yet traditional where her core values are concerned. She is not overawed by the Australian society and culture. She still respects her traditions and cultures and retains her values of right and wrong. She is also a very emotional person, who values relationships, and sometimes, her emotions lead her to take wrong decisions.
Mahi is the heroine of Virsa. She represents the ideal combination of tradition and modernity, the best of both the cultures. While leading a modern lifestyle and taking advantage of the best education that Australia has to offer, she still remains grounded in her roots and does not lose sight of her values.
